There are several browsers in cyberspace. A browser allows you to see pages of a site. Some of the most important and popular browsers are: Internet Explorer, Netscape, Mozilla, Safari. All browsers are alike, right? WRONG
Browsers vary in features, protocols, tools, etc. The most widely used browser is Internet Explorer also referred to as IE. It is the default browser in most PCs since it is part of the Microsoft OS. It is used by the majority of the World's population.
When
creating a web site, many factors are taken into consideration. One
of those is the browser it will favor. Since most users are into
IE, we develop sites with IE in mind. And, once the browser
is determined, we consider resolution.
Resolution is set by the manufacturer. Currently, the most common resolution is 1024x768. So, we make sites considering that resolution. If you use a smaller or larger resolution a site will look distorted.
If you can not see one of our sites or, if you see letters or paragraphs overlapping or pictures outside the borders, chances are you must adjust your resolution and/or text size. Text size? Yes. There is a feature that allows you to increase or decrease the size of your text in the browser. We set our text to "medium" size.

go
to START>CONTROL PANEL
Select DISPLAY

On
the DISPLAY screen select SETTINGS
On
SETTINGS scroll the bar until you reach the desired resolution

And you are set!
